Matrix Radix S Series Graphite Wood Shafts
RADIX is Latin for “base” or “root”. The base for RADIX is The HD design, giving RADIX the most advanced internal structure in its class. Along with the internal structure, an experimental variable tip-to-butt ratio design is introduced with RADIX. The ratio specs change by flex – ball flight lowers as flex stiffens, adjusting for the progressive needs of progressively harder swingers.
The Matrix HD Radix 4 golf shaft weighs in at 48.5 grams and has a mid/high spin rate. It also has a mid/high launch, which makes it ideal for golfers at most levels. In ideal situations, this shaft will not affect your trajectory unless you have a very low angle. If that is the case, it will bring your trajectory up a bit. The HD Radix 4 is a faster than average shaft, so it is not recommended for golfers with higher swing speeds, unless those golfers are specifically looking to radically increase distance.
The HD Radix 4 golf shaft successfully uses the award-winning “HD” structural design without putting too much burden on the golfer’s pockets.
