TaylorMade M3 Driver 440
The TaylorMade M3 driver features an innovative and revolutionary face and sole design that will transform the way you hit the ball off the tee.
TaylorMade have developed a face technology called Twist Face that will effectively counter the side spin put on the golf ball when struck out of anywhere other than the centre of the club face for much improved accuracy and distance.
Strikes out of the high-toe area will come off the Twist Face with more loft and when struck from the low-heel there will be less loft. A newly designed sole slot technology called HTechnology like never before, it can only be the TaylorMade M3 440 Driver. In a radical departure from traditional driver-face design, TaylorMade have introduced Twist-Face technology, engineered to take you farther and straighter than you ever thought possible. Aimed at the better player the M3 440cc model offers a smaller appearance at address and appeals to those looking for increased workability off the tee.
For years virtually all driver faces have had the same “bulge and roll” face contour, the idea of which is to compensate for off-centre strikes in the heel and toe areas by directing the ball back towards the centre of the fairway. After extensive research TaylorMade found that when robot testing, a traditional “bulge and roll” face excelled, however once you add the human element this technology wasn’t as effective, and so was born Twist Face. A revolutionary new face curvature designed to deliver a corrective face angle on off-centre hits, reducing side spin and producing straight distance off the tee. Twist Face technology features more loft in the high-toe and less loft in the low-heel, the areas where golfers most commonly mis-hit.
It isn’t all about Twist Face with the M3 Driver. TaylorMade’s innovative new Hammerhead sole slot increases COR creating a huge sweet spot that pushes the limit of ballspeed to produce distance and forgiveness like you’ve never seen across the entire face. Hammerhead’s construction is supported by beams that reinforce the outer portions of the slot, this allows for a lighter more flexible face, while the centre portion increases ballspeed on low-face strikes and drops spin for more distance. The result is one of the most powerful and forgiving drivers on the market that delivers exceptional sound and feel.
